2025 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Odds: Dak Prescott Favored; C-Mac Second



Everybody loves a comeback story.

Last season, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow took home the Comeback Player of the Year award. As a matter of fact, he’s one of only two players ever to win the award twice. 

Burrow missed the last seven games of the 2023 season after suffering a wrist injury. In his comeback campaign, he passed for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns, and both were best in the NFL.

So who takes home the hardware for the 2025-26 season? Let’s look at the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Oct. 14.

AP Comeback Player of the Year 2025-26

Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys: +200

What to know: Prescott played eight games in 2024 before being sidelined with a hamstring injury. This season, he’s been arguably the best QB in the NFL, completing 71.6% of his passes (fourth in NFL) for 1,617 yards (second), 13 touchdowns (second) and only three interceptions in six starts. 

Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers: +250

What to know: C-Mac played in four games last season before suffering a season-ending right knee injury. This year, he is leading the NFL in carries through six weeks (108). He has 336 rushing yards and one rushing TD, and 444 receiving yards and three receiving TDs.

Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Lions: +300 

What to know: In Week 6 of last season, Hutchinson fractured the tibia and fibula in his left leg and missed the remainder of the season. He was back for the start of this season, and he has six sacks (fourth) and four forced fumbles (tied first) through six weeks.

Daniel Jones, QB, Giants: +450

What to know: Jones didn’t get injured last season. Instead, he was benched and then released by the Giants after Week 10, with the Giants sitting at 2-8 and Jones tallying eight TDs and seven interceptions. This season, he appears reborn with the Colts. In six starts, Jones has Indy at 5-1. He is completing 71.7% of his passes (third), and has 1,502 passing yards, eight touchdowns and three picks.

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars: +1500 

What to know: Lawrence started 10 games last season before missing the final seven games of the season after suffering a concussion in Week 10. In those 10 games, the Jags were 2-8. This season, however, they are 4-2 through six games, and Lawrence has 1,324 passing yards, eight TDs and five picks.

Darren Waller, Browns: +1800

What to know: Waller wasn’t hurt or benched last season — he actually missed all of 2024 due to retirement. Waller came out of retirement and was traded by the Giants to the Dolphins. In three games with Miami, Waller has 10 catches for 117 receiving yards and four TDs. He’s scored at least one touchdown in every game.
