Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as Brent crude futures hit $100, and what’s on the radar for the next session. The PCE price index The personal consumption expenditures price index will come out at 8:30 a.m. ET. This data will be featured live on ” Squawk Box ” with Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin. The PCE price index is one measure of inflation. The Dow Jones consensus calls for a 0.3% rise month to month and a 2.9% increase year to year. We’ll have the number when it comes out and the instant market reaction. GDP The second reading of gross domestic product will also be out at 8:30 a.m. live on “Squawk Box.” We’ll have the numbers and instant reaction from the market. Economists polled by Dow Jones call for a 1.5% rise for fourth quarter GDP. CNBC’s economics reporter Steve Liesman will also further explore how high oil prices will change growth forecasts moving forward. Food stocks The grocery giant Kroger hit a new high on Thursday. It first listed back in 1977. Shares have gained 10% since the war started, and the stock is up about 20% in 2026. Archer-Daniels-Midland hit a 26-month high Thursday. The agriculture processing company has advanced 5% since the war started. The stock is up 26% so far in 2026. KR YTD mountain Kroger in 2026 SentinelOne CEO Tomer Weingarten joins “Squawk Box” in the 6 a.m. hour to talk about the potential cyberattack threat from Iran. The stock is up 5% since the war started but down 8% year to date. Sentinel One is down 35% from the July high. The Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK) has jumped 6.6% since the war began. It is 13% off from the October high. Oil Brent crude has gained 40% since the war began. West Texas Intermediate has advanced 45%. CNN reports that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned it would set oil and gas infrastructure “on fire” if Tehran’s energy sites are attacked. @LCO.1 1M mountain Brent crude futures in the past month Energy company highs Chevron hit a high going back to the year 2000 when it combined with Texaco. Shares are up 5.5% month to date. Marathon Petroleum hit an all-time high Thursday. The stock has jumped 16% since the war started. Phillips 66 hit an all-time high in the session. The stock has gained 13% since the war started. Valero hit an all-time high. It has added 15% since the war began. Devon Energy hit an all-time high Thursday. Utilities Duke Energy hit an all-time high. It is up 12.5% in 2026. The S & P utilities sector is up 8% in 2026. It’s off 2.5% from last month’s high.
